A coffee shop has applied for an alcohol and live music licence.
The Botanist Coffee Co in Church Road, Hove, has asked Brighton and Hove City Council for permission to sell alcohol every day of the week.
In the licence application, a spokesman for the coffee shop said they also want to "expand to acoustic live music" and "low-key events".
If approved, this would take place between the hours of 10am and 10pm.

The application also said that the venue can cater for 90 people with space for 40 to sit inside and 50 outside.
A consultation on whether to grant this licence is currently underway involving the fire service and Sussex Police.
It is set to end on June 5 and the council's licensing committee will then make a final decision.
At the moment, the coffee shop, which has another branch in Gloucester Road, Brighton, is only open in the daytime until 5pm latest.
It plays recorded music and only serves snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
