A new self-storage facility is to be built on a busy stretch of the A259.

The Easistore unit is part of a new development in Brighton Road, near Shoreham Lighthouse, where 255 apartments are being built.

Work on the homes has begun but the storage, which will offer units of various sizes, has not yet been started.

Signs at the entrance of the site, which was brought by Oakley, say the facility will be "coming soon".

As well as offering storage units up to the size of garages, the building will have office rooms and shared workspaces overlooking the River Adur.

Paul Glenister, managing director of Easistore, said: "Easistore has been providing high quality self-storage and flexible office spaces to customers in the South East for 30 years and within the development will be a café, serving visitors enjoying the riverside pedestrian and cycle path that will eventually run from Shoreham beach right along to the High Street.

"The business centre will create attractive office accommodation for up to 60 businesses, and enable employment for up to 220 jobs locally”.
