New council homes being built at the site of a former car park are set to be completed by spring next year.
Adur District Council has said that work at the former South Street parking site is well under way despite challenging weather.
According to the council, the foundations for four one-bedroom and three two-bedroom homes are now in place.

They are being built with "modern, sustainable" construction techniques which will reduce waste and disruption for nearby residents.
The council has said that the energy-efficient homes on this site and others in the area will be used by Adur residents who are at risk of homelessness.
A spokesman for the council said: "This project is part of our plans to replace our old garage compounds and under-used sites with extra homes that families in the district need in Sompting, Lancing, Shoreham, Southwick and Fishersgate.
"The new houses will be highly insulated and therefore will be energy efficient and cheaper to run for the tenants. We hope the first Adur citizens will be able to move there in March 2025."
