Pizza for breakfast will now be on the menu at Gatwick as Pizza Express launches the chain's first airport restaurant.
It will be opening in the South Terminal on Monday and the new menu will include its take on the most important meal of the day.
Alongside regular pizza, pasta and other classic Italian dishes, the restaurant will serve a bespoke “pizza-inspired” breakfast menu.
Jane Treasure, food and beverage director at Pizza Express, said: “Our founder, Peter Boizot, was known for his love of travel with some of his trips inspiring our menu and that’s no different today.
“Our newest restaurant at London Gatwick provided us with the perfect opportunity to showcase our passion for innovation by introducing something new and exciting, a breakfast menu with a twist.
“We have some seriously brilliant additions, but we've also made sure to keep a few icons available all day, such as our moreish dough balls, served with jam for that breakfast hit.

“We all know the holiday starts from the moment you arrive at the airport and from early morning breakfasts to late night dinners, there’s nowhere better to celebrate that holiday feeling than at Pizza Express London Gatwick.”
Pizza Express’s breakfast menu will include full English breakfasts with dough sticks, bacon and pancakes, classic pizzas like a margherita and a breakfast inspired bacon and egg pizza.
The restaurant is also adding a breakfast version of its dough balls served with jam and classic breakfast drinks like mimosas.
The new menu will also include children’s breakfast classics such as eggs and soldiers.
The breakfast menu will be available from 3.30am to 11am every day and the restaurant will offer its regular menu throughout the rest of the day.
Pizza Express is the latest restaurant to come to Gatwick Airport after the Breakfast Club and Greggs launched last year.
The airport also welcomed Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a new Brewdog bar.
