An A-road closure has been cancelled for this weekend.
The works on the A283, which have been taking place overnight between Shoreham and Steyning since April 25, have been paused for the weekend.
This is because the route is set to be used as the diversion for the A27 full weekend closure between Shoreham and Lancing, which begins tonight and ends at 6am on Monday.

West Sussex County Council said that although these A283 works are "essential", they will not go ahead at the same time as the A27 closure.
A spokesman for National Highways confirmed that the A27 works will now go ahead without "any issue on the diversion route".
It is expected that the A283 works organised by the council will continue from Monday night.
They will take place every night until May 25.
