A village beach has been named one of the greatest in the country.
Rottingdean beach was listed in ninth place by The Telegraph in its list of "Britain's 20 greatest beaches".
This was based on scenery, what the beach has to offer and its overall location.

The Telegraph wrote: "To escape Brighton's crowds, cycle along the undercliff path to Rottingdean, four miles east of the marina.
"Tucked under chalk cliffs, the pebble beach offers a peaceful spot to swim.
"It also boasts a glamorous reputation, once acting as a summer retreat for Hollywood icons like Bette Davis and Cary Grant, who's said to haunt the bar of the Rottingdean Club.
"In the summer, live music and plays are performed on the Rottingdean Terraces, the open-air stage overlooking the sea."
The Telegraph also recommended the Smugglers pub on the A259 for visitors who want to enjoy "crispy batter fish and proper chips doused in salt and vinegar".
Other beaches ranked as the greatest in Britain by The Telegraph include Morecambe North in Lancashire and Saunton Sands in Devon.
Par, in the Isles of Scilly, was ranked as the best overall in the list.
