Beachgoers have been treated to very low tides lately which reveal soft sands.
Brighton is famed for its pebble beaches but when tides are especially low there is a sandy shelf which paddlers can make the most of.
Our camera club members also snap up the opportunity to take some shots as the low tides can reveal beautiful reflections.
Rose Jones went out to see the low tide on Wednesday evening and captured the stillness of the water against the splashes of paddlers and seagulls.
Thanks to the new moon on Wednesday, high tides are higher and low tides are lower than average.
Thursday is a spring tide.
This is because the Earth, sun, and moon are nearly in alignment so the gravitational pull of the sun is "added" to the gravitational pull of the moon on Earth, causing the oceans to bulge a bit more than usual.
