Drivers have been hampered by flooding after a deluge of rain overnight.
Residents in Haywards Heath faced disruption after deep flood waters blocked a section of road earlier today.
Fire crews taped off part of Portsmouth Lane to prevent motorists becoming trapped as deep flooding continue to cause issues this afternoon.
Residents were out inspecting the scene this afternoon as the flooding north of the town recedes slowly.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue service continue to support efforts to stop drivers from becoming stranded in deep water.
The fire service was approached for comment.
