East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are recruiting on-call firefighters.
People over the age of 18 are being invited to attend a session at Eastbourne Fire Station on May 18.
The event, named "Have a Go" day, will allow people to gain hands-on experience with the tasks and equipment handled by firefighters.

Visitors will also be able to gain advice about the recruitment process.

At the moment, the fire service is looking for on call firefighters in Barcombe, Broad Oak, Burwash, Forest Row, Hailsham, Heathfield, Herstmonceux, Mayfield, Newhaven, Rye, Seaford, Wadhurst and Uckfield.
The sessions will begin at 10.30am and finish at 3.30pm.
A spokesman for the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are currently recruiting on call fire fighters and invite you to find out more and try your hand at some of the key activities a firefighter undertakes in their job."
