There is a large police presence near a Brighton park.
Police are in the Wild Park and Home Farm Road area of Brighton, as pro-Palestine activists blockade the road to the L3Harris arms factory.
The group is protesting against the factory’s supply of bomb racks used in fighter jets that Israel uses.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “We are aware of and are monitoring a protest at a site in Home Farm Road, Brighton, currently.
“The incident is ongoing and the public can expect to see a visible police presence in the meantime.”
The L3Harris factory in Moulescoomb has long been the site of much industrial action, with activists erecting a “peace camp” there for five weeks before they were turned out by Brighton and Hove City Council last week. There was also a previous blockade of the road in January this year.
The company manufactures parts such as bomb racks for fighter jets, which have been sold to the Israeli Defence Force.
An anonymous protester said they had shut down L3Harris "in solidarity with Palestinians in Palestine, in our city and around the world. We implore L3Harris workers join a union and build pressure on their management and help break the kill chain and look for work elsewhere".
L3Harris has been approached for comment.
L3Harris's landlords Paxton said: "While Paxton owns the building that L3Harris currently operates from, there is no other link whatsoever between the two businesses. We are completely separate entities with separate ownership, leadership and work in entirely different industries. Paxton designs and manufactures electronic security systems that are installed in schools, hospitals, commercial and residential buildings in the UK and beyond. We have no influence over the work of L3Harris."
