A sheep has died after being attacked by a dog.
The animal was part of a group of livestock that escaped from Ashdown Forest into a fenced off area between cattle grids in Crowborough Road, Uckfield, earlier this week.
A spokesman for the forest said that the escaped sheep died from its injuries after being attacked by the dog.

The forest also confirmed that all the escapees have now been returned to their usual places in the forest.
When the livestock were first spotted, the forest urged people to "keep their dogs on leads" to avoid incidents.
A spokesman for Ashdown Forest said: "We have received confirmation that all the loose sheep on the south chase of the forest have now been collected. Sadly one died from its injuries due to an attack by a dog.
"The south chase area (the permanently fenced area between the cattle grids in Crowborough Road) is now believed to be clear of livestock."
