Rubbish is being strewn across the city's streets following more missed bin collections.
Bins have been overflowing in Tisbury Road, Third Avenue, Salisbury Road and other surrounding roads in Hove.
It comes after Brighton and Hove City Council revealed that bin lorries were deliberately sabotaged, leading to missed collections.
This time it said the missed collections were down to a “small number of faults” reported on Tuesday morning.
Robin Newbold, who lives in Tisbury Road, said: “It has been on and off for the last few weeks but this weekend it is all overflowing again in the surrounding roads. Even recycling bins are full. I’m assuming there is something happening at the depot.
“It is infuriating, the council tax has gone up but they cannot seem to get a grip on this problem.
“I don’t think Labour has improved its collections since the Greens.
“We are back to square one. It is very windy and all that rubbish has blown all over the pavements. It is a really nice area to live but it’s blighted by this problem.”
On March 12, the council revealed “sabotage” to its bin lorries which it described as “scandalous”.
Mr Newbold said he already reported the latest missed collection online.
Rubbish was also strewn along Western Road in Brighton on Wednesday morning.
Bins had not been collected in Tisbury Road yesterday morning too.
Councillor Tim Rowkins, chairman of the council’s city environment, South Downs and the sea committee, said: “I understand residents’ frustration and apologise for any inconvenience, but unfortunately, we had a small number of faults reported on some of our communal refuse vehicles this morning, which meant they went out late.
“Our teams are now working hard to catch up, and our street teams are also helping by clearing any rubbish left alongside communal bins and making sure they are not so full residents cannot put their rubbish in them and this work will carry on into the evening.
“We are absolutely committed to keeping our streets clean and tidy and would always encourage residents to report any issues to the council directly via our website at: Report a problem and request a clean-up (brighton-hove.gov.uk).”
