The site, which was last used by TG Precision Engineers, will require no external alterations.
The garage will keep the six remaining car parking bays at the front of the unit and will add three more spaces for light goods vehicles.
According to the plans, the business will open from 7.30am until 6pm from Monday to Fridays.
On Saturdays it will open from 7.30am until 2pm.
The garage will be closed on Sundays and bank holidays to avoid disturbing neighbouring properties.
It is not known when the garage will take over the site however the planning permission requires this to be done within the next three years.
