Part of the A27 will be closed for the whole weekend starting tonight.
The closure, which will be on the eastbound carriageway between Shoreham and Lancing, will be the first of four planned over the next two months.
The A-road, near the New Monks Farm development, will start at 9pm tonight.
The road will not reopen until 6am on Monday morning.

Cars will be diverted along the A24 and A283.
A spokesman for National Highways said: "Work is progressing to complete the new roundabout at New Monks Farm.
"To allow the team to finish off drainage, install ducting across the carriageway and lay the final road surface, there will be some weekend closures of the eastbound carriageway between Manor Roundabout and the Adur junction."
National Highways have confirmed that there will still be access to the airport and homes along the A27.
The road will close again later this month and twice in May.
The dates for these works are:
- 9pm Friday (April 26) until 6am Monday (April 29)
- 9pm Friday (May 10) until 6am Monday (May 13)
- 9pm Friday (June 7) until 6am Monday (June 10)
The project is expected to end in June.
