A teenager in court charged with terror offences is accused of targeting a homeless person in a potential attack.

Cameron Finnigan, from Horsham, is accused of possessing a "kill guide" which could help him commit an act of terrorism.

The 18-year-old is also alleged to have been involved in a pseudo-satanist online group called 764, Westminster Magistrates’ Court was told.

Finnigan, appeared in court today charged with one count of preparation of terrorist acts, one count of possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, namely a “kill guide”, and one count of possessing indecent images of a child.with terror offences and possessing indecent images of children.

The court heard how Finnigan, of Denne Park, is alleged to have been “preparing for an attack against a single homeless individual” who was living in a tent.

Finnigan spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

The teenager was charged on Tuesday after being arrested at his home address on March 26 following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing South East.

He was remanded into custody until his next court appearance at the Old Bailey on April 12.
