People made the most of the sunny bank holiday weekend weather yesterday on what turned out to be one of the warmest days of the year so far.
Hundreds of people enjoyed the sun on Brighton beach on Easter Sunday while crowds packed The Lanes.
Contrary to expectations, temperatures soared and are predicted to continue in double figures for the rest of the week.
Brighton beach and the promenade were packed with people taking an Easter Sunday stroll or stopping for a drink and an ice cream.

Temperatures on the coast hit 15C degrees in the mid-afternoon.
Gardner Street and Kensington Gardens in North Laine were also awash with people making the most of the sunshine.
The weather has turned slightly cooler today but temperatures are expected to remain steady at 11C.
The rain originally forecast for the bank holiday will arrive on Tuesday with showers and heavy rain throughout the day.
