A nightclub is extending its opening hours ahead of the summer season.

The Volks Nightclub, in Madeira Drive, Brighton, will now be open from 11am until closing time "weather dependent" every day.

In autumn and winter, opening times are usually restricted to evenings only.

The extended hours come just in time for the Easter bank holiday weekend.

A spokesman for the nightclub told customers on Thursday: "Volks is open in the daytime again.

"Spring has sprung and with that comes more opening hours for The Volks.

"We are open 11am until close.

"You can relax and enjoy food or drink with amazing sea views. Grab a cocktail by the beach or even a jug.

"Live music and DJs will be playing tunes for your enjoyment"

The nightclub first opened in 1996 and prides itself on being a "musically motivated" club.

Over the summer months outdoor seating is available just outside the club with views of Brighton beach.
