A weather warning for strong winds has been extended to cover the whole of Sussex.
The yellow Met Office warning, which previously covered coastal parts of the county, will now also include areas further inland.
Sussex will also be battered by the strong winds for longer with the warning extended until midnight.
Previously the warning was only in place until 6pm today.
A Met Office spokesman said coastal areas could face 70mph wind gusts with 50mph winds inland.
Previously areas of north Sussex were not included in the weather warning but this has now been extended.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Strong winds and large coastal waves may lead to hazardous conditions.”
