They said: "A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last ten years, it has been an amazing journey.
"For us Tom Foolery has always been about people and we're enormously proud of the very special and unique community we created together with you, our customers.
"We've grown to know and love so many of you and have made some lifelong friends along the way.
"We wish you love, luck and happiness in everything you do and whatever adventures await us, we will carry you in our hearts always.
"Watch this space as something new and fabulous is heading to Shoreham High Street."
No information has been given on what the café is set to become under the new ownership.
Tom Foolery opened in 2014. The café was originally an extended part of the neighbouring Maxi's convenience store before it was converted into the new business.
