A teenager has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the street.
The 17-year-old boy is in hospital after being attacked in the street yesterday evening.
His attackers remain at large and no arrests have currently been made. Police are appealing for witnesses.
Following the attack in Wannock Road, Polegate, Sussex Police Chief Inspector Andy Nicklin said: “This incident is being treated with the seriousness it deserves and a thorough investigation has been launched to gather evidence and locate any suspects.

Emergency services were called to Wannock Road near Polegate High Street at around 9pm yesterday evening.
The 17-year-old boy was treated at the scene by paramedics and has since been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
Officers are still investigating but so far no arrests have been made.
Forensic officers scoured the scene of the attack in the early hours of this morning as they continued enquiries.
Sussex Police say there will be a large emergency service presence in Wannock Road and Polegate High Street this morning.
