The dramatic rescue of two men stranded 50 feet above the ground was captured on camera.
The pair were working on the side of the Leonardo Royal Hotel on Brighton seafront when their cherry picker, which was parked on the pavement outside the front of the hotel, unexpectedly stopped.
Firefighters were called to the scene including a specialist extendable ladder truck to bring them back to safety.
Pictures show the ladder alongside the cherry picker while a firefighter helped to move them over to the platform.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 11.02 on 14 March 2024 to a hotel on Kings Road, Brighton.
"A cherry picker had stopped working, leaving two people about 35-50 foot in the air.
"We used our aerial ladder platform to reach them and bring them back to the ground."
