Residents in a flood warning area have been urged to act now as more rain is on the way.
The Aldingbourne Rife in Bersted, Bognor, is high after rain on Monday and Tuesday.
Fields near Shripney Lane are still flooded, as are parts of the Tesco car park and caravans at Riverside Caravan Centre in Shripney Road.
With more rain on the way later this week, the government's Environment Agency (EA) has urged nearby residents to act now to secure their homes and cars.
A flood warning means flooding is expected, and the EA's advice is to:
- move vehicles to higher ground if it’s safe to do so
- move family and pets to safety
- move important items upstairs or to a safe place in your property, starting with cherished items and valuables, then furniture and furnishings
- turn off gas, electricity and water supplies if it’s safe to do so; never touch an electrical switch if you’re standing in water
- if you have property protection products such as flood barriers, or air brick covers, use them now
- keep track of the latest flood risk situation
Scattered showers are forecast for Friday, meaning the river levels could rise by about 5cm.
A spokesman for the EA said: "Flood impacts could remain in Bersted until March 20.
"The Aldingbourne Rife might not return nearer to normal until April. We are running our pumps at Felpham and keeping grilles clear to help reduce the flood risk."
Motorists are urged to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding.
Elsewhere in the county, there are flood alerts in place which meaning flooding is possible.
These are in place in Patcham, Climping and West Dean.
In flood alert areas, residents should:
- sign up for flood warnings
- have a bag ready with vital items like insurance documents and medications in case you need to leave your home
- check you know how to turn off your gas, electricity and water mains supplies
- plan how you'll move family and pets to safety
