Sussex start-ups have impressed judges at a roadshow.
The events, run by South East Angels and NatWest, give small independent businesses the chance to pitch to investors.
This year’s roadshow started in Brighton on February 22 and will return to the city later in the year.
Business owners can share their ideas and make connections with investors.
The event series features six events in five places from February to October, each including a start-up pitch competition and an investor judging panel.
There will be events in Guildford, Southampton, Tunbridge Wells and London before the roadshow returns to Brighton on October 17.
Kristina Pereckaite, managing director at South East Angels, said: “It’s amazing to see the magic that can happen when you bring together some of the key players in a region’s start-up ecosystem. We discovered some fantastic start-ups through the roadshow series last year and are excited about who we may discover in 2024.”
Nick Howe, regional enterprise manager at NatWest said: “It has been great for us to work with the team at South East Angels who share our passion to support and inspire small businesses in the South East.
“I really enjoyed being part of last year’s judging panel and listening to the local entrepreneurs’ fantastic business pitches. We look forward to continuing the partnership with South East Angels in 2024 and giving businesses in the area the opportunities and guidance they need to thrive.”
