A recycling centre will remain closed following a fire.
Three fire engines attended the blaze at the Chichester Recycling Centre in Stane Street this morning.
Smoke could be seen billowing into the sky and residents were warned to avoid the area while crews from Chichester, Bognor and Littlehampton worked.
At 1.30pm West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the fire had been extinguished but a spokesman said the recycling centre will remain closed “for the time being”.
