A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a rush hour crash which sparked major tailbacks on one of the region's busiest roads.
Police officers were called at around 8am today following reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle. Paramedics also made their way to the scene.
Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact the police to help them in their investigation.

Traffic continued to be affected more than an hour and a half after the incident with roadworks also nearby.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Police responded to a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the A259 in Peacehaven at around 8am on Thursday, 7 March.
"The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries."
Anyone with any information or dashcam footage is asked to report to police online or via 101 quoting reference 200 of 07/03.
