People involved in a suspected chemical attack are still at large.
A 40-year-old man was injured after a suspected noxious substance was thrown at him in Oriental Place, Brighton.
Officers swarmed the street along with paramedics and firefighters just after 8pm on Monday - but despite the huge emergency services response, police are yet to find the attackers.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police has insisted there is "no wider threat to the public" and that the incident was isolated.

The Sussex Police spokeswoman added: "Police received a report of a suspected noxious substance having been thrown at a man at an address in Oriental Place, Brighton, at around 8.10pm on Monday, 26 February.
"The victim, a 40-year-old man, received medical treatment at the scene.
"Officers are continuing to carry out enquiries and area searches to locate the suspects.
"This was an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public."
