A search is underway for a missing man.
Emergency services descended on Brighton seafront this morning following concerns for a man near Marine Parade.
A coastguard helicopter could be seen searching the area as well as RNLI teams.
Sussex Police said the man could not be found and the search continues.
The man is in his 20s, is white, tall and is wearing beige chino trousers, black boat shoes and an orange puffer jacket.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police received a report from a member of the public concerned for the welfare of a man in the vicinity of Marine Parade, Brighton, in the early hours of Wednesday.
“Officers attended the area but could not locate him.
“A search is underway involving the coastguard.
“Anybody with information which could help in the search is asked to call 999, quoting serial 148 of 28/02.”
