Some 10,000 people are expected to take part in an obstacle course when it returns to Sussex this spring.
Tough Mudder will be challenging entrants with intense new obstacles at its course in Pippingford Park in Nutley, near Uckfield.
The park's hills promise to test both newcomers and the most seasoned participants as they tackle terrain that will leave them breathless.
Those taking part have the choice between two courses - a ten-miler with challenging terrain and more than 20 “heart-pounding” obstacles, or a roughly three to five-mile course with more than 12 obstacles that will push people to their limits.
There will be a one-mile “Lidl Mudder” for children.
Matthew Brooke, managing director of Tough Mudder, said: “I am beyond thrilled to announce the launch of the Tough Mudder 2024 season and its newest South East event in the stunning landscapes of Pippingford Park.
“This event promises an unprecedented level of excitement and challenge, with fresh terrain, views and obstacles that will push every participant to their limits.
“Witnessing the growth and enthusiasm around Tough Mudder South East is incredibly rewarding and we can’t wait to share this new exhilarating experience with you all.”
People will be able to soak up the atmosphere before and after the event at the Tough Mudder Village to connect with others, share stories and celebrate triumphs.
Founded in 2010 and with more than six million participants, Tough Mudder hosts more than 130 challenges and endurance events annually in ten countries.
More than 500,000 people take part in their extreme endurance events each year.
Those wanting to take part can sign up for the event on Saturday, April 6, from £105 for the shorter course and from £135 for the roughly ten-mile course.
Participants receive a medal, shirt and headband upon completing the course.
