A popular park sports pavilion and café could be demolished and replaced with a new "modern facility".
The Buckingham Park sports pavilion, in Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham, might be replaced and "transformed" after Adur District Council said it has been failing to meet community needs.
A spokesman for the council said: "For some time the building has let down the rest of the park aesthetically and it fails to meet the needs of its users.
"The toilet facilities are of a poor standard and the building itself needs constant maintenance due to its age.
"We are therefore working on plans to completely replace the existing building and provide new, modern toilets and sports facilities, including changing rooms and a larger café."

The council has said it has been working with a local architect to create a series of proposals which outline the approach, early design ideas and the next steps to transform the space.
The council has invited the community to an event at The Shoreham Centre, in Pond Road, on February 20 from 5pm to 7pm, to share their thoughts and ideas on the plans.
The consultation display will remain up for a week at the community centre for people who cannot attend the event and have asked people to email buckinghampavilion@adur.gov.uk with feedback.
