Heavy rain is expected to cause disruption across Sussex tomorrow.
A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for the entire county by the Met Office, in place from 2am tomorrow until 6am on Friday.
As much as 45mm of rain is expected in some areas.
The weather service has said flooding of some homes and businesses is possible, with the possibility of disruption to bus and train services and spray and flooding on roads.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “A couple of bands of rain, heavy in places, will push northwards across southern England and south Wales during Thursday and early on Friday.
“Whilst a drier interlude is likely for a time during the middle part of Thursday, many places in the warning area will see 15-25mm of rain accumulate during this period.
“However, some higher ground areas of southern England and south Wales could see as much as 35-45mm of rain.”
Some parts of the Midlands and northern Wales are expected to see heavy snowfall on Thursday, with amber warnings in place for some parts of the country.
