A man has been taken to hospital after falling from cliffs.

Emergency services responded to the incident at Ovingdean, at around 2pm today.

They had received a report of a person falling from the cliffs.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Police were called to a report of a person having fallen from the cliffs at Ovingdean, at around 2pm on Thursday, January 25.

“A man has been taken to hospital for treatment.

“There are no further details available at this time.”

Update: Sussex Police have confirmed that the man, 20, died from his injuries.
