A community library is returning to a refurbished Grade II* listed lido.
The library is one of the first features returning to the now-finished Saltdean Lido.
The 87-year-old lido building has been under refurbishment since 2021 including tearing out asbestos and major works to the interior and exterior.
A temporary library located in a nearby cabin will close on January 29, while the new space will reopen on February 13.
There are also plans for a gym, café bar, events spaces and meeting rooms as part of the refurbishment.
The main ballroom is now available for hire.
Councillor Leslie Pumm, chairman of the equalities, community safety and human rights committee, said: “I am very excited to welcome everyone back in the new Saltdean library and wholeheartedly thank all the staff and volunteers at Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company who dedicated their time to restoring this fantastic community hub.
“A thank you also goes to Saltdean residents for bearing with our libraries during the refurbishment.
“The restoration of the Saltdean lido building is a true testament to the efforts of its community, and a proof that when people care about their surroundings, they can achieve wonderful things which will benefit generations.”
The library will have new furniture and new books and will be used as a space for parents and children for activity sessions.
