Police have released an image of people they want to speak to after a car scam.
Officers were called to reports of a scam where three men pretended to buy a car for sale, but poured oil onto the engine.
This is a trick used by scammers which can cause the engine to smoke, making the car seem faulty, so they can ask the seller for a lower price.
The incident took place in Lewes Close, Saltdean on October 7, 2023, at 7pm.
Now, police have released an image of the men they would like to speak to in connection with the scam.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “If you recognise the men in the photo, or have any information, contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 1297 of 07/10.”
