Firefighters rescued a person trapped in a car following a crash and another from flood water during a busy night.
Crew from Turners Hill Fire Station attended the incidents on Thursday as the bad weather continued.
Pictures show the aftermath of the collision in Turners Hill as well as deep waters during another callout.
A fire service spokesman said: “A busy night for the station, attending a road traffic collision and motorist trapped in flood water, working alongside crews from Crawley Fire Station, using hydraulic rescue equipment we extricated one casualty from a vehicle after a collision in Turners Hill.

“We advise people to take extra care on the roads in these current weather conditions and avoid driving though flood water.”
Severe flooding has been reported across Sussex over the last 48 hours as heavy rainfall landed on already saturated ground following Storm Henk which struck the county on Tuesday.
Flood alerts are still active in several areas of Sussex and drivers have been told to avoid using certain roads.
