Three heroes came to the rescue of an elderly man trapped in his car in deep flood waters.
The moment the brave trio waded through deep water to save the man was captured from above by our photographer Eddie Mitchell.
Drone footage shows the black Bentley surrounded by water on the A272 near Billingshurst as three men, one wearing high-vis waterproofs and two in just their jeans and wellies, made their way towards the stranded car.
They attempted to push it themselves before getting a truck and towing the car to safety.
Severe flooding has been reported across the county over the last 24 hours as heavy rainfall landed on already saturated ground following Storm Henk which struck the county on Tuesday.
Flood alerts were issued in several areas of Sussex and drivers were told to avoid using certain roads.
The Wey and Arun Junction Canal which the A272 crosses over overtopped its banks and spilled out into nearby fields and roads.
The Environment Agency said flood waters could affect properties and drivers should take care when driving on the A272.

In Selham Road near Midhurst, firefighters had to rescue two vans stranded on a bridge and surrounded by floodwater at 10.30am this morning.
It took four fire crews, including an off-road vehicle, to save them from the fast moving waters - however their vans have been left on the bridge.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "Joint Fire Control mobilised fire engines from Midhurst and Chichester, an off-road vehicle from Petworth, and one crew from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service to the scene.
"Upon arrival crews found two vehicles stuck on a bridge in floodwater. Firefighters rescued both drivers from their vehicles."
The Environment Agency warned that flood water could affect rural roads in the area and that flood protection products such as sandbags should be used at nearby homes and businesses.

Some 28 flood alerts and warnings are active across Sussex at the moment including on the rivers Adur, Arun and Ouse.
High winds have also caused trees to collapse onto roads, causing traffic chaos during rush hour.
