An uninsured driver who was involved in a hit and run also had class A drugs inside the car.
Disqualified motorist Vincent Kimber smashed into a Kia Rio before speeding off, only to crash into another car just seconds later in his black BMW X5.
The second crash was reported to police who arrived to find Kimber behind the wheel. Officers discovered he was already disqualified and driving without insurance.
A search found less than one gram of cocaine and cannabis on him. His car was seized and Kimber was arrested and later charged.
Kimber, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Hastings Magistrates Court yesterday to failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving without insurance, possession of both class A and B controlled drugs and driving whilst disqualified.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and disqualified from driving until February 26, 2025.
