Severe gales and heavy showers could put a dampener on today’s New Year celebrations.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind which comes into effect at 10am and lasts until just before midnight tonight.
It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow wind warning for the entire county from 11am on Saturday until 3am today.
The weather service warned severe gales and rain could lead to disruption to transport and infrastructure.
This new warning covers the whole Sussex coast.

What to expect:
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
