A man has been left with serious injuries after a crash on the A21.

Sections of the road were closed for several hours while police carried out investigation works at the Robertsbridge bypass.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Emergency services attended a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the A21 near John’s Cross at 10.20am on Wednesday, December 20.

“The motorcycle rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

“The road was temporarily closed to allow repairs to be made to the carriageway and has now reopened.”

The road was closed this morning and into the afternoon as police continued investigation works on the northbound section of the A21.

The road was re-opened at roughly 3pm.
