Bus passengers will continue to be able to get around Sussex for as little as £2 until next summer.
Operator Stagecoach announced that they would be extending their £2 single bus fare scheme until June 2024 after its successful rollout earlier this year.
The scheme, which means single fares of any distance are capped at £2, will continue to be available on Stagecoach buses such as the 700 route operating in Sussex and nationwide.
Claire Miles, chief executive for Stagecoach said: “We are delighted to continue our participation in the £2 fare offer until at least the end of June 2024, giving more people the chance to see where the bus can take them.

“Around 10 million people in England live within walking distance of one of our bus stops, so we’re hoping that people will take the opportunity to get out of their cars and give the bus a try for the bargain price of just £2 for a single ticket.”
Capped single fares were rolled out in January 2023 and continue to be popular across Sussex.
