Christmas is a time for giving and a chippy is giving people the chance to feed the needy this festive season.
Crispy Cod in Lancing is giving everybody the chance to buy a meal for a person in need.
Manager Sahin Saglam, 27, said he knows there are families in his community who need help and he is hoping his plan encourages people to help.
"We put it on our Facebook and it went viral," Sahin said.
"The idea is people buy a meal, we put the tickets up on the door and anybody who needs it can pick one of them and get a free meal.
"We get people coming in all the time who cannot keep up with the cost of living.

"It's all anonymous and I really hope if we can show people they can do something then even more people will come forward.
"The people who are getting fed are very grateful."
Since he posted the idea on Facebook, Sahin's post has been seen two million times.
"I'm willing to carry this on for the whole year," he said.
