A man has admitted a series of drug offences after heroin and crack cocaine were found in his hotel room.

Jamie Burrell, 27, was stopped in Brighton in November 2020 after being caught after a suspected drug deal.

Burrell, from Lambeth in South East London, was later found with heroin and crack cocaine wraps worth around £1,500.

Searches of Burrell’s property in London later found over £5,000 of drugs as well as a Remington revolver and ammunition.

Lewes Crown Court, sitting in Brighton, heard how Burrell had operated as a “middleman” in a county lines drug dealing operation.

Recorder John Hardy KC sentenced Burrell to a total of 11 years in prison for ten “serious” offences including possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
