Burglars broke into a Poundland shop through a hole in the roof.
The group of burglars are believed to have gained entry to the store on Sunday afternoon by climbing through a damaged section of the roof of the building.
No contents were stolen during the break-in.
Police say they are now investigating the incident.
The burglary is believed to have taken place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Sunday, December 10, at the Quintins Shopping Centre in North Street, Hailsham.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “If you have any information or witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area, report online or call 101 quoting 230 of 11/12.”
