A community choir has raised much-needed money for a food bank in the run-up to Christmas.
Portslade-based The Tone Rangers raised over £200 for the Purple People kitchen food bank with a festive performance of Christmas favourites at the South Portslade Community Centre.
The choir, run by local musician and singer-songwriter Sharon Lewis, also sang hits including Neil Diamond’s I’m A Believer and Abba’s Lay All Your Love On Me.
Sharon said: “The evening was great fun but we also like to try and do something that benefits people and the local food bank does great work and is always in need of funding.”

The choir rehearses every Wednesday evening during term time at the community centre.
Their next rehearsal will take place on January 10, with newcomers welcomed with a free taster session.
