A section of road was closed after a lorry became beached by the side of the road.
The back of a truck can be seen hanging over the side of the road on a grassy verge.
Traffic data suggests that the A280 Long Furlong near Findon remains closed while recovery works for the vehicle are carried out.
The road has since re-opened.
Mud can also be seen covering the rear wheels of the truck with a long divot in the side of the road.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "A lorry was reported to have left the road around 8.45am on Saturday, December 9.
"No one was injured and the road was closed temporarily to allow the vehicle to be recovered."
