B&M will open its sixth store in Sussex and replace one of Wilko’s town centre sites.
The home store brand will open its latest shop in Worthing in the new year when it becomes the newest tenant of the Guildbourne Shopping Centre.
The former Wilko unit had remained vacant for months following the demise of the high street brand but will once again house a big-name store next Spring.
Announcing the news a Guildbourne Centre spokesman said: “The Guildbourne Centre is delighted to announce the arrival of B&M Stores who have taken the old Wilko shop.
“The administration process delayed the deal for longer than we would have liked but strong interest from other retailers helped to push it through.
