The Queen of Soul Chaka Khan is returning to Sussex next year to celebrate five decades in music.
The latest woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Chaka Khan has just been announced as the first headline act at next year’s Love Supreme festival in Glynde.
It is the second time she has graced the pastures of Sussex, having previously played one of Love Supreme’s most memorable sets back in 2015.
“She is a global music star that has served as an inspiration for generations of singers, songwriters, recording artists, storytellers, and musicians,” the festival said.

“Aside from being a singer, she is a distinguished songwriter, producer, visual artist, author, actress, humanitarian, activist and mother.
“She is a trendsetter, a fighter, and a survivor. She redefined pop, soul, jazz, and funk and has helped mould the contemporary music landscape into what it is today.”
The festival will be from July 5 to July 7 next year and Chaka Khan will close the main stage on the Sunday night.
