Two former contestants of a TV design show have used their talents to create a spectacular Christmas tree at an Arts and Crafts house.
National Trust site Standen House and Garden in East Grinstead welcomed Banjo Beale and Amy Davies from BBC show Interior Design Masters to the Grade I listed building.
Banjo won the hit show in 2022 while Amy came second in the same series.
The pair decorated an 18-foot centrepiece Christmas tree, which is on show in the courtyard of the 19th-century house.
Combining Banjo Beale’s resourceful and inventive style with Amy Davies’ love of print and vintage, the design for the Standen Christmas tree is influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement, the landscape surrounding Standen, nature and the history of the Beale family who lived at Standen during its heyday in the 1920s.
Amy, a printmaker and illustrator based in London, used reclaimed and natural homemade decorations to give the design an artisanal feel.

“The festive season is such a magical time for so many and we are delighted to provide this year's statement Christmas tree design,” she said.
“Quiet festive glam and a traditional colour palette sees ornaments and baubles that are designed to link back to the house's character.
“Many are upcycled, preloved and natural and can be reused throughout the year. We're delighted to be part of Standen House and Garden’s 2023 Christmas programme and are excited to create joyful memories.”
People can see the tree from until Monday, January 1 between 10am and 4pm.
Choirs will sing carols around the Christmas tree on selected weekends throughout December where Standen will remain open until 6pm.
As well as the courtyard Christmas tree, festive visits to Standen promise a family trail in the garden and the house decorated and atmospherically lit.
