A new food hall should open before Christmas.
Bosses of Forest Row had originally planned to open the venue in Worthing’s former Beales store on the side facing into the Montague Centre in August.
This date was pushed back to late September before being pushed back again to December 15 due to delays in the building's conversion.
A spokesman from the company said: “To all our lovely hopefully soon to be customers, Forest Row Worthing will finally be opening Friday, December 15.
“We are very sorry for the delays in getting to this point. Unfortunately the conversion from old department store that had been left empty for years into a functional multi restaurant venue has taken far more works than we ever imagined, but we are now almost there.
“We will this week also be revealing the start of our sneak peeks at the venue plus the restaurants within and their menus. Thank you Worthing for your ongoing support for this project and we look forward to seeing and serving you all soon.”
Seven establishments will launch in the food hall including Brighton’s Block Bar, Worthing-based Spanish restaurant Rincon De Pepe, Caribbean and Spanish restaurant El Caribeno, Italian restaurant Rimbomba and The Beef Guy.
