Two beaches in the county have ranked among the ten warmest in the UK – so beachgoers can make the most of crisp winter days.
Though temperatures are dropping, many of us are still keen to get out and enjoy our beaches.
West Wittering and Camber Sands beaches made it in the top ten warmest in the UK, meaning you can still enjoy a beach walk in Sussex without being too cold.
The research, commissioned by holiday company Parkdean Resorts, ranked the top ten beaches in the UK to visit this winter based on their average temperature.

West Wittering beach came in sixth place with an average temperature of 10C during the winter months.
In eighth place was Camber Sands beach which has average temperatures of 9.5C in winter.
A spokesman for Parkdean Resorts added: “Stretching almost five miles with stunning views out to sea, Camber Sands is a great place to visit this winter.”

- Kynance Cove, Cornwall – 11.5C
- Studland, Shell Bay, Dorset – 11C
- Barafundle Bay, Pembrokeshire – 11C
- Porthcurno Beach, Cornwall - 10.5C
- Rhossili Bay, Glamorgan – 10C
- West Wittering, West Sussex – 10C
- Botany Bay, Kent - 9.5C
- Camber Sands, East Sussex - 9.5C
- Cromer Beach, Norfolk – 9C
- Aldeburgh Beach, Suffolk - 8.5C
