A Brighton pizzeria has been recognised by Deliveroo for having one of the most popular dishes in the country.

Very Italian Pizza in Old Steine was recognised for its traditional Margherita pizza which was named among the top 30 trending dishes in 2023.

The traditional pizza was named 21st top trending dish, right after Wholefoods Flowers from Wholefoods, in London, and before paracetamol from Boots in Edinburgh.

Very Italian Pizza said that they “pour love and hard work into the very heart of everything we do”.

It added that all of the ingredients used in their pizzas come from their own farm based in Naples.

The margherita pizza uses sourdough and includes fior de latte mozzarella, fresh basil and olive oil.

Other dishes included on the Deliveroo list include Five Guys cheeseburgers, Popeye’s chicken sandwiches and dishes from Oowee, Wagamama and Kokoro all of which are available in Brighton.
